Why Choose Tideview Nature School for Field Trips?

At Tideview Nature School, our experiential learning field trips offer students the chance to engage with nature in ways they might not experience in a traditional classroom setting.

A Unique Learning Environment:
Teachers will have the opportunity to observe their students thrive in a new, dynamic environment. It's common for children who may struggle in typical classroom settings to truly shine outdoors, taking on leadership roles, engaging more deeply, and building confidence among their peers.

Building Stronger Connections:
Our outdoor setting provides teachers with the chance to interact with their students in new ways. You’ll witness new friendships forming, different personalities emerging, and your students embracing a more holistic learning approach that fosters both individual and group growth.

Encouraging Exploration and Growth:
We encourage students to take on new challenges, explore their curiosity, and embrace the natural world. Scaled risks, asking questions, and hands-on exploration are key parts of our field trips, allowing children to grow in confidence and critical thinking.

Observing Skills in Action:
Our field trips are a fantastic opportunity for teachers to observe both soft and hard skills in their students. Whether it's teamwork, problem-solving, or creative thinking, you’ll see new sides to your students in our nature-based setting.

Child-Led Exploration:
At Tideview Nature School, we don’t follow a rigid curriculum or pre-planned activities. Instead, we dynamically assess each group upon arrival, tailoring the day’s activities to fit the energy and needs of the students. Some groups are more hands-on, while others may prefer quieter, reflective interactions with nature. Our goal is to facilitate child-led free play, allowing the students to take the lead in their learning journey.
