Our thoughts

We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Atlantic Canada ADDvocacy! This collaboration aims to support neurodivergent children, including those with ADHD and autism, by creating an inclusive and enriching environment at TideView Nature School.

TideView Nature School is dedicated to letting kids be kids, outside in nature. We offer programs for children aged 2-8, where they can explore, play, and learn in the great outdoors. Studies have shown that neurodivergent kids do better in outdoor settings. They feel less stressed, their social skills improve, and they generally feel happier.

Many neurodivergent children often learn differently from the methods used in traditional schools. As a result, they may eventually come to dislike traditional schooling, associating it with negative experiences. Many parents personally understand these concerns through their own experiences and/or after seeing their children struggle in conventional educational settings. While these challenges still exist, new options like TideView Nature School provide a great and fun learning environment that aligns more closely with what these children need to stay engaged and learn effectively.

This partnership with Atlantic Canada ADDvocacy is a significant step towards ensuring that every child, regardless of their neurodiversity, has the opportunity to thrive. Many of the adults that ADDvocacy works with have children and understand full well how differently certain kids learn and work. By combining our expertise in outdoor education with ADDvocacy's dedication to neurodivergent support, we are committed to providing an environment where all children can succeed and grow.

Join us at TideView Nature School, where every child is valued, and nature is the best classroom. Let's embrace the outdoors and make learning an adventure for all!
